West Coast rapper The Game is set to challenge fellow rappers Common and Ice Cube as he attempts to get the role of B.A. Baracus in the upcoming big screen adaptation of The A-Team.
Game, who says he has auditioned for the part, will have some hefty shoes to fill as he will be replacing the iconic Mr. T.
The A-Team is a TV series about a fictional group of ex-United States Army Special Forces who work as soldiers of fortune while being on the run from the military for a “crime they didn’t commit.”
Calling Out Ice Cube & Common?
Game is currently working on his forthcoming LP, The Red Album, which may not be even hit stores this year if he lands the acting gig.
“It depends on this A-Team movie project I’m up for. If that doesn’t happen it (the album) will be (released) in December (09).” Game Tells Hip Hop Weekly.
“I’m looking forward to working with the director Joe Carnahan and Liam Neeson, who’s playing Hannibal.
I gotta gain 35 pounds before December so, I’m on my regimen and training. I’m gonna go from 225 to 260 over the next couple months and it’s an exciting process for me, so it’s on!”
